I have a Lower Bound. A line I will not fall through.

I will not knowingly build or deploy code intended to harm, deceive, or undermine the agency of people.

I will not knowingly disregard foreseeable harm arising from my work.

I will not knowingly make or endorse false or misleading claims about performance, capability, safety, privacy, security, or certainty.

When leaving a project, I will make reasonable provision for handover or closure.

I will choose the welfare of people over the system.

I will respect the consent and dignity of people affected by my work.

I will surface material risks when I become aware of them.

I will support my fellow engineers in upholding the Lower Bound.

I will refuse to cross the Lower Bound, regardless of who is asking.

I will speak up when I have reason to believe the Lower Bound is being crossed.
